Pizza, your way, is the best way to describe pizza! Everyone knows pizza! When I hear “pizza”, I hear versatile! Pizza can literally be anything we want it to be a late-night snack, breakfast, dinner, on the go lunch, parties almost always have pizza, and more. It is a dish that cannot be contained into one category.
I like to make pizza, but I like to make pizza crusts by the dozen so to speak. When I make pizza crusts, I always make more than I need and freeze the rest. I have pizza every single Monday: Pizza Monday! My family knows that on Monday, they are on their own. I do not cook on Mondays.
I also make pizza sauce by the dozen as well. I make the crusts, the sauce, and double the recipe so I know I do not have to cook on any Monday for an entire month! It is my day off and I love it. We all need a little TLC! We must take time for ourselves. I am now on a journey to make a bunch of TV-dinners so that I can take a vacation. I do not like to feed my family any of those HORRIBLE TV dinners! They have so much salt in them, that it is a heart attack in a box! Follow along to see how you can do the same! With a little hard work now, you can rest a ton later! A small sacrifice for your family’s health!
When Monday arrives, you need to take out your dough from the freezer and put it into your fridge. Also take out your pizza sauce and place it in the fridge to defrost as well. About an hour before your family wants to eat, you need to put the crust and sauce on the counter. When it is dinner time, my daughter, Kylie, takes and smashes it out flat into a circle. She takes the dough, places it onto the greased pizza pan, and tops it with the pizza sauce. All that is left is to add the cheese and toppings! My daughter is 12 years old and giving her some responsibility makes her feel proud of herself.
I make sure that she knows how to cook! I want to know that when she leaves the nest that I have set her up for success! A winning future! I think when a child can provide dinner for the family at least one night a week, it sets the child up for a winning week! She starts off thinking that she is a winner!
