CINNAMON APPLESAUCE

Cinnamon applesauce is such a good dessert. Since it is made from fresh apples this is going to wake you up and not put you to sleep. The cinnamon will also make sure that your blood pressure does not spike after you eat this. Apple have been know to have some natural sugars in them! The cinnamon will make sure that this is the best possible dessert or snack available to you! Eating one apple will give you more energy than drinking a cup of coffee will and it will not make you crash!

  • Wash and peel your apples. While peeling make sure to pick out any bad spots.
  • I leave the ones I have peeled in my sink full of cool water and 2 tablespoons of lemon, as I work.
  • Now you want to core your apples. This takes the center out easily. I highly recommend using a hand slicer, because this can take some time.
  • Put your apples in a pot on the stove. You want to add a ½ cup of water and cinnamon.
  • Bring this mixture to a boil.
  • Once it is boiling, turn it down to a simmer. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the apples are super soft.
  • Once the apples are soft, let it cool down.
  • Once cooled down, use a “smasher” to smash the apples. I used a potato smasher, and it worked wonderfully. ENJOY!!

Notes

You can use any apples that you would like to use in this recipe. I used red delicious , and it turned out really good. Feel free to play around with this recipe. Add your favorite fruit and such!
